Fernanda Dubiel, is a talented dancer from Brazil with Polish ancestry. In 2024 Fernanda qualified to compete in Champion division, after competing in AllStar for only 18 months. Fernanda's dedication extends beyond personal achievements. She embraces the excitement of competition, the joy of performing, and the transformative power of dance. To her, dance holds the key to positive change in the world.

Fernanda Dubiel is a down-to-earth and positive individual who loves social dancing. Her uplifting attitude and ability to uplift those around her make her a valued member of the dance community.

She discovered her passion for dance at age 6. Starting with ballet, and not very long after that she explored tango, Brazilian zouk, and various other styles like cha-cha, samba, bachata, and salsa. At age 9, she fell in love with West Coast Swing, and when she was 10 she started learning English to be able to speak with Jordan and Tatiana.

Seeking growth and new experiences, Fernanda moved to Lyon, France, at the age of 16, immersing herself in West Coast Swing and expanding her understanding of French culture. Currently living in Poland and travelling the world as a West Coast Swing teacher, coach and judge. She already travelled to 35 countries and is looking forward to teach in The Netherlands for the first time and to get to know the Dutch West Coast Swing community

Workshop levels

We use a set of criteria for every level to make sure everybody in that level is at the same standard. This way every student in that class knows that the other students are at the same level. So they know they can keep up and they can help to grow the other students too.

Essentials level

You completed at least the Essentials Intro I course and ideally took at least 4 Intro II classes
You have a basic understanding of elasticity, 6- and 8-count timing, and know how to dance the basic patterns (push, pass, whip)

If you don't meet these requirements please contact Miranda for a skill assessment before you register!

Discovering Level

You have achieved the minimum skills required in the skills assessment for Discovering level
You have significant experience with elasticity, standard patterns, footwork, body pulse, and turns. And you are familiar dancing Left Side Pass, Under arm Turn, Sugar Push and Whip including some basic variations!

* A students is anyone who signed up for the 8-week Building a solid foundation or the 10-week Discovering or Automating Pattern and Styling skills series in the period January-March 2025.

** Regular students are students who signed up for the current series with a punchcard, or signed up for one or more series in 2024.

Transfer policies

Primarily you can only transfer you registration to someone in the same role and the same level as a substitute. Exceptions can be made if it benefits the role-balance.
If you like to transfer your ticket to another human, please contact us before you transfer so we can confirm it is a legimit transfer and we can update our administration.
Finding a substitute should be done in an acceptable manner, without any abuse or misuse. We reserve the right to decline any registration transfer request that does not comply with these guidelines.

Put your navigation to the intersection "Kleine Koppel, Brabantsestraat" and find a free parking spot:
- Kleine Koppel (very limited space)
- Brabantsestraat
- Limburgsestraat (partly 2-hour parking limits)
- The area across the bridge, away from the center (for example Kwekersweg, Koppelweg, Grote Koppel, De Vendelier). Only 5 minutes by foot.
Paid parking :
Parkinglot Oliemolenkwartier (free parking after 22.00)

Be aware that it is not allowed to park on the Oude Fabrieksstraat!! Parking is strictly enforced!

The entrance of the venue is at the right side of restaurant Hoog Vuur. Enter the blue door and turn left.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?

Yes.

For the Essentials level we expect you completed at least the Essentials Intro I course or bootcamp and ideally took at least 4 Intro II classes
You have a basic understanding of elasticity, 6- and 8-count timing, and know how to dance the basic patterns (push, pass, whip)

For the Discovering level workshops, we expect that you have been taking regular WCS classes for at least 6 months, and have achieved the minimum skills required in the skills assessment for Discovering level
You have significant experience with elasticity, standard patterns, footwork, body pulse, and turns. And you are familiar dancing Left Side Pass, Under arm Turn, Sugar Push and Whip including some basic variations!

IS REGISTRATION REQUIRED?

Yes! You need to register. Ther are no tickets at the door.

CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?

Sorry to hear you can't make it! To ensure a smooth and fair transfer process, we have established the following rules:
